The meticulous care he gave to the minutiae of not only the project, but to each actor, was inspiring to witness. I first met L.X in the audition room for one of his productions. My first impression that day stayed true throughout our entire time working together. He is calm, caring, thoughtful, and surgical with his direction. I can't count the amount of times he would walk up to me, look at me, (for what might seemed like minutes) to find just the right 4 or 5 words to get me to adjust whatever I needed... and it worked every time.

He is an excellent director, with a way of actually capturing the rawness of humanity that is very rare in this day and age. I would take his insight and advice any time and very much look forward to working with him again.

A genius. I've said it to his face. L.X has a way of not only bringing the best out of the actors he works with, he brings the best out of his entire crew. Every day on the production felt like a family reunion because he was able to create a comfortable space for everyone to express themselves as creatively and professionally as possible.

His work (to me) illuminates themes of humanity and understanding. His work leaves meaningful impact and always sparks thought and discussion. Nothing more to say other than the fact that he's a great artist and a fantastic director.

I have worked with L.X on two large projects that he spearheaded: a play that he produced, and a feature film that he directed. I've have been immensely impressed with his abilities to gather incredibly talented and devoted teams to his projects and lead them to final products of high quality. He always pulls through and makes things happen.

L.X is very well versed in film/theatre repertoire and has a keen sense of what he wants, and follows through to communicate his vision with skill and passion. He is very professional and focused and inspires actors to want to do their best work for him at their highest level. Another thing that can't be overlooked... he's personable and knows how to laugh.

He offers one of the most powerful experiences a director can; He offers the chance for you to grow and develop your own sense of who you are as an Actor. His patience, honesty and understanding pushed me to new heights as a performer, and his work with me remains one of the best experiences with a mentor in acting to this day.

L.X takes such pride in his work, which is evident in every element he touches. As a director, he allowed me space to play, but also to dive deep in heavier content. He gently guided me through my process. He knew when to push me, and when to allow me space to explore. His directorial style provides a feeling as if we are all working toward something greater than ourselves.

What I really like about his directorial style is that he is aware of not only the actors, but of how an audience will read them. He adjusts little moments based on that reaction to allow you to continually grow. His style is interactive and alive.

I have worked with L.X very intimately on several projects. He has a special ability to create an environment where you can't help but succeed and that is mainly to do with how hard he works at gaining your trust. He strives to make whatever he's directing you in be the best work you have ever done.

Instilling this confidence in your actors is crucial, it allows them to try new things and push themselves to discover new aspects of the character they are portraying. He is also a great collaborator. When you have an idea, it's always a safe space to explore.

I find it is so freeing when a director doesn't have the blinders on and can allow other members of the team to see the big picture.
